Hany Massoud
co-Lead Producer
Hany Massoud is a senior TV producer with Democracy Now! and an Emmy Award winner for the HBO documentary In Tahrir Square. Since 2007, he has covered global events including the Egyptian uprising, the Gaza Flotilla, and the climate crisis, as well as domestic issues like the Black Lives Matter movement and migrant rights. The first US-born member of his Egyptian immigrant family, Hany also develops programs focused on youth development, civic engagement, and media literacy. He lives with his wife and children in Cambridge, Massachechets.
